Spring on 4th Street

Spring is around the corner, and I think it’s safe to say, we can’t wait for the season to arrive. This new beginning is a great opportunity for a refresh! As we wait for the signs of chirping birds, melting snow and budding flowers, here are some ways to prepare.

1.     Spring Cleaning
As soon as the weather is nice enough to open windows and let the fresh air in, there is suddenly a need to clean the house from top to bottom. Wash windows, dust blinds, scrub baseboards – getting to all those spaces that aren’t looked at regularly.

Head on over to Without Co. with your bottles and jars and refill your soaps and cleaning products. Their Refill Starter Kit includes dish soap and hand soap – both in bottles and refillable pouches.

Grab cleaning supplies from Shoppers Drug Mart while also collecting PC Optimum points. Be sure to check your offers to maximize your points.

Replace any broken sinks or faucets at Royal Flush Boutique. They have been open since 1979 and are a great place to update your bathroom and kitchen.

2.     Textile Refresh
Pack away clothes that you are done with for the season and donate the ones that you no longer need. Double check that all are in good condition, ensuring that there are no rips or snags.  Q & P Cleaners can fix zippers, mend your tears and patch holes, making your clothes look as good as new.

Wai’s Alteration can alter any clothes that are either too big or too small. Make clothes fit again and double your wardrobe.

Refresh bedding and linens and change out anything you don’t need for the changing temperature. Replace  your flannel sheets for something cooler in temperature and put away those heavy items. Oh Henry Laundromat and Dry Cleaningcan help with your oversized items like duvets and comforters.

3.     Spring Florals
Bring Spring into your living space with bright florals or pretty pastels. Fresh flowers and plants are a great way of bringing nature inside.

Marlow Floralworks has beautiful blooms and bouquets to brighten up your home for the new season. Cinder and Sagehas a collection of pots to plant your greens and liven up the home.

If you don’t have a green thumb and are looking for artificial blooms for your space, head on over to Dollarama.

4. Refresh Your Look
Sometimes a refresh is just what we need to head into a new season. The Brow Studio will design your brows to flatter you perfectly.

Get that summertime glow at Bronze Baxx Luxury Tanning & Wellness. They offer sunbeds and also spray tans which are airbrushed by hand.

Head on over to Butter Beauty Parlour where you can blow out your hair, polish your nails and lengthen your lashes.

5.     Self care
Sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves and welcoming a new season is a good reminder to do so.

Book yourself in for a facial at Aura Spa where they will cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate your skin. Relax at clear float spa and escape for the outside world while floating in high-density salt water. The perfect refresh. Head into spring relaxed with a massage from Bird’s Nest Massage. Release tension and stress with a hot stone massage.
